Intellectual property

The cadastral-parcel-based jurisdiction resolution and statute-cited census determination methodology described on this site is the subject of a pending U.S. patent application. All content on this website, including text and design, is the property of CensusAudit unless otherwise noted.

Accessibility statement

CensusAudit sells to public agencies, and a public agency is required to buy accessible technology. We treat that as a design constraint rather than a disclosure exercise.

Standard

This website and all software delivered to a customer target WCAG 2.1 Level AA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. § 794d), as incorporated by the Revised 508 Standards.

Current status

This site is built to that standard and has been checked internally. It has not yet been evaluated by an independent accessibility auditor, and no conformance claim beyond our own testing should be inferred. A completed VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) covering the delivered audit software will be provided on request during any procurement, and independent evaluation will be completed before a production deployment.

What has been implemented

Semantic HTML with a single ordered heading structure per page; a skip link to the main content; keyboard operability throughout, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element; text and interface colours measured against their backgrounds for AA contrast; navigation state signalled by more than colour alone; primary navigation targets at or above the 48-pixel minimum; comparison tables that restack rather than scroll sideways on a narrow screen; honoured “reduce motion” system preferences; and text alternatives on every informational image, with the surrounding prose written so that no page depends on an image to be understood.

Reporting a barrier

If any part of this site or our software is not usable for you, write to rory@censusaudit.com. Reports go directly to the founder and are acknowledged within two business days. Tell us the page and the assistive technology involved if you can — and if you need any content on this site in an alternative format, ask and we will provide it.

Non-affiliation notice

CensusAudit is a private company. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Census Bureau, the U.S. Department of Commerce, or any government agency. “Census” refers to the audit method — examining an entire population of transactions rather than a statistical sample.
